Are boards micro-managing rather than macro-governing? Do CEOs enjoy a harmonious relationship with their chairs? How far are trustees willing to go in terms of taking risks? Can social media make governance smarter?
Onboard is delighted to announce the release of Governing with Intent, an investigative report into the behaviours and effectiveness of the modern charity board.
We surveyed and interviewed over 300 respondents, from trustees to chairs, chief executives and senior managers. Our findings provide a snapshot of the trends and thinking in governance in 2015.
The report examines attitudes around how the board performs; the relationship between the board and the chief executive; and how trustees view the role of new technologies in governance.
Governing with Intent uses its insights to make recommendations as to how governance can be improved in light of the findings.
